Cologne, Waldbadviertel

The Walbadviertel district in Cologne is excited about their new and extensive playground. There is no boredom with our stimulating playground in this residential area. To start off with, children can eagerly scurry over large ropes or wide nets. There is a central tree house on wooden stilts, great for climbing on, with a slide to bring them down again. The large bird’s-nest swing, offers multiple children the opportunity to have swinging fun together. When they have had enough of it all, they can relax on a spacious hammock. Additionally there are two sandboards: here the children can hoist a bucket of sand up using chains, then sieve it or bake sand-cakes. Wooden barrels are scattered around the grounds, for climbing and hiding in.

A small Birch woodland area has ultimately been built on the edge of the playground, with little wooden houses for hiding, playing and retreating.
